How songs work

 Recently we received a message from someone stating that a song that we perform which we have indicated as our original is in fact not ours.
The song was written by a very good friend of ours.  We enjoyed the version of the song previously recorded by another aritst.  So we asked the song writer if we could do a version of the song as well and put it on an upcoming album.  He gave us permission to do so.  So we changed it vocally to fit our style and it turn it becomes a FOXX Worthee song.  We give credit to the writer every time that we sing the song.  Our other original song Even the Devil was also previously recorded by the song writer herself, and another artist in the US.  But because it is our version, we get to put our name behind it.  Another great example is the Doc Walker band doing a cover of a Phil Collins song.  On their album you will see that it is their name behind the song, not Phil Collins.  FOXX Worthee doesn't make music to become famous, we do it because we love it.  Now as for not being 20 year olds, we are well aware of that and we are very thankful for the invention of botox!!
